Happy Fourth of July!

Our day started out bright and early at 8:00 a.m.  We decorated the boys bikes and went to the church for a flag ceremony and pancake breakfast.  Then, the boys and my favorite part..the parade.

This is Lawson on his little balance bike.  He was all over this parking lot.

Auntie K came and joined us and our little picnic breakfast.

The boys are amazing on their bikes.  Decker is such a great rider.  He has his braking down.  He weaves in and out around obstacles.  Cody is so good on his little bike too.  This wore them out!  Great way to start the day.

There was even a unicycle in the mix.
Stefan and all his glory.  and his family, Rachna, Colton, Jayden annd Lawson.

Luge Olympian, Christian Niccum and his cute family.  Hadyn, Harley and Emma Jo and mom Bobbi Jo.

So proud of his little bike!

Then we went home and got ready for our second party.  A BBQ at Sean Reid's house.  I made a patriotic jell-o cake.  Sean makes the best ribs and this is our 2nd year attending the party.  So yummy.  One of his guests brought a cannon and fired it off a couple of times.  Great part of the party.  (Sean and I knew each other in the singles ward.  We shared the same birthday.  He also helped us buy our house as our broker.)
Then covered it with whipped cream and fruit.  So refreshingly yummy!
Then we went to our 3rd and final party of the day.  We were invited over to the Bullocks.  They live on Cottage Lake.  We got to fire off fireworks right off their dock.  Such a fun night.  With neighbors all around the lake firing off their fireworks.  When we first got there, all the kids were out on the dock.  We were concerned someone might fall in to the water so we put life jackets on everyone as a precaution.  As soon as I put them on Decker and Cody, Decker decided he wanted to go swimming.  Just got into the water with his clothes on.  We had a chuckle about that.  But then, we didn't bring a change of clothes for him.
Since Decker went swimming, Cody of course, wanted to go swimming as well.  So we got his swimming suit on and they both had a blast.
There were a few pyros at this party.  Mike was in heaven.  They all took turns lighting fireworks for an awesome display!

 Little campfire on the water...

By the end of the night, the boys were pooped.  Cody fell asleep on Auntie K and Decker fell asleep on me.  Love those cozy times.  ;)  Happy fourth!!
