Ferrel McWhittier Park April 14, 2012

It's Saturday and Mike had to work.  The sky was blue the air was warm, so off to the park to have a picnic...This is a great park with Farm Animals...
 Love the chickens....
And the huge PIG with long bristly hair...Cody was afraid of her...she was asleep snoring and he didn't like the noises she was making....
Decker liked using the hand sanitizer the best.
And the Chickens...and bunnies--which I don't have any pictures of...

Then we had Peanut Butter and Jelly & Ham sandwiches for lunch....

Love how they're eating at the same table...yet not with each other??  Totally interested in everything going on around them.

My boys picked me many flowers...enough for a dandelion bouquet....such gentlemen...

Infatuation with DIRT April 2012

We have a big pile of dirt in our backyard that has gotten smaller & smaller over the past year as we have planted our garden, blueberry bushes, pear, cherry, dogwood, magnolia and Japanese cherry trees.  When the boys go out to play, they DIG.  Cody still loves to eat the dirt...and I mean big handfuls, and not just once and he's done...This can make a little guy thirsty...So then, he looks for puddles to get a sip...Yes, disgusting right?  He's building a strong immune system, right?  I sure hope so...and I hope he gets out of this stage real soon, because it'll be a long summer, chasing after him while playing outside.
And for those of you wondering if he has PICA, We tested his blood and his Iron levels are normal...so it's just an impulse he's going to have to learn to ignore...Hopefully sooner than later

Such CUTE BOYS!!

Easter Post #2

Some photos that I forgot...before the Easter Egg hunt, Decker got to make some Easter crafts with the other Primary children.
Grandma came to go with us to the First Easter Egg hunt...  A Cody Welcome...

Decker fell asleep reading Go Dog Go!   He just got tired of Going....  ;)
Here's pics of Eugene and Rapunzel, the latest characters Decker has been interested in...
In Primary at Church, the children got to wave Palm Leaves, as if Jesus was walking between them.

Decker trying on his new Alligator Rain Boots...
Cody in his Red and Blue Rain Boots...

Decker wearing his Rain Boots and Cowboy Hat...
Decker told me he made Batman out of his PoPTarT....Great imagination!

Easter 2012

What a day!  It started with Decker saying, " I have to wear my "Easter" shirt.  It's his Eastern WA University t-shirt and the same exact outfit that he wore last year.  Here's a link to last years' Easter post:  http://julieandmikewood.blogspot.com/2011/05/happy-easter.html
We went to 2 different Easter Egg hunts. Here's the first:...and they're off!

They didn't get many eggs since they were competing against kids between the ages of 1 - 7.  Though they didn't care at all.  Decker was more interested in what was in the first egg he picked up rather than gathering as many as he could.  He also wanted to pick flowers instead of eggs.  Such a sweet boy.

For our second Easter egg hunt, it was much easier for them to collect eggs as Cody was just competing against other 2 year olds and Decker was with other 3 and 4 years old.

What a fun day!
Then later that night we colored Easter eggs.  Cody's first time.

Green is Decker's favorite color!

 Colorful fingers...

Grandma came over and let Cody wear her glasses...
Easter morning...Yay we get to plant some strawberries and tomatos.
Decker is looking at his Easter basket and pointing at Eugene and Rapunzel dolls...Not sure if he's excited or not.  :)

Then for dinner on Sunday, Mike made this fantastic Easter Bunny cake.  We had Ham, Au gratins, salad and green bean casserole for dinner with of course...deviled eggs!  YUM!

What a fun weekend! We spent both days out in the sunshine! It was gorgeous!!
