Halloween Party weekend

Decker told us a few weeks ago that he wanted to be a mummy.  So we thought as our group theme we could do Scooby Doo. I could be Daphne and Mike could be Fred and Cody could be Scooby doo since we already have that costume. However, Cody didn't like that idea much...he said he wanted to be a Power Ranger--which he already had a costume for.  So the night before the MONSTER MASH at Decker's school, I asked grandma if she had any old white sheets we could cut up.  She had one that she'd cover her furniture with when she had lots of grandkids over.  ;)  I asked Annie if she had some coffee we could use to soak them in to make them look old and weathered.  She gave me some tea bags to do it with.  While Decker was at school and after they were dry, I practiced putting them on Cody.  So when Decker got home, we started to wrap him up and paint his face.  Cody announced that he wanted to be a mummy too.  So hopefully we would have enough strips to cover the both of them.
So many strips...Cody helped me tear them....we painted their faces SCARY!
Grandma came over to attend the MONSTER MASH with us.  Decker's just hanging out while I work on Cody.
Cody in his carseat. Grandma sat in the back with the two mummies.

THE MONSTER MASH-- Cottage Lake Elementary--Do the SCARY, MUMMY WALK!

They each got a bag of popcorn and then headed inside to play BINGO!
 Toothless the dragon.

  Cody raided the dessert table...
  Cute little Supergirl!
So Saturday came and tonight was the TRUNK or TREAT at the church.  We decided we would be a MUMMY FAMILY and I would be the "Mummy, Mommy".  We went to Value Village and got some sheets for Mike.  I pulled out some flowered sheets from my stash of sheets that were my grandma's and Mummy costuming we did.

  Aren't these amazing pumpkins/jack-o -lanterns?
 We are spooky!

 Heath, Nancy and Liam Pirates...
Auntie K came as Miss Smarty Pants, all the kids like taking a Smartie treat from her bag.  :)

Playing the bean bag toss...They loved the fishing pole game the best.  Decker also won a cupcake in the Cake walk.
In one of the rooms, they had a football toss and  Donut throw.  This picture is with the flash on...
And these are without the flash in the Black lights...

   This was our Favorite picture!

And then time to go outside and do the Trunk or Treat!   --In the Rain...I tried to sit in our trunk.  The boys came home with two jack-o-lanterns of candy.  The goblin took them and hid them away for appropriate times to eat.  ;)
Now, we just have Halloween to dress up for....I'm thinking we may not be the mummy family,   By the end of our night, our costumes were falling off--TRUE MUMMY STYLE....however, Decker still wants to be a mummy at school.
