Visit to Coeur d'Alene December 26 - 29

We went to visit Grandpa Bob and the Wyndams after Christmas for 3 days.  We didn't realize it, but we got to enjoy snow!  Decker is out in the backyard in his Spiderman costume.  When I asked him to put his coat on, he said he wouldn't be cold, because he was Spiderman!
They spent a lot of time on Lincoln's top bunk.  They could watch movies up here.  They spent a lot of time in their costumes.  Lincoln was Captain America, Decker was Spiderman, Cody has his Avengers pajamas in this picture, and Trev was a Power Ranger.  Awesome!

The eagles were congregating at Lake Coeur d'Alene by the Wolf Lodge.  So we went to check them out.  We saw quite a few, flying, nesting and hanging out in the trees.  There were some local State Park employees set up there to answer questions and protect the eagles.  They even had telescopes set up to watch the Eagles in the trees.

The boys loved picking up snow and throwing it over the guard rail into the lake.  This made both Keila and me nervous and stayed real close to them.  Decker loves his new "fire" gloves Keppi gave him.

We then decided to go sledding.  I didn't bring snow gear with us...(I didn't check the weather report)  Grandpa Bob took me under his wing and SET ME UP!  :)  I had handwarmers in these nice mittens, toe warmers and extra socks all covered by Sorrels boots and some snow pants.  I didn't feel any cold.  It was awesome!!
We took the boys sledding.  They loved it.  Cody loved running on the snow and sliding to a fall.  It didn't scare him at all.  Cody wasn't the only one who fell...Daddy took one too.

Decker and Lincoln shared the responsibility of walking their sled back up the mountain after each run.

Ben and Trev went down and as Ben dragged his feet in the snow, kicked all this snow up into Trev and Ben's face...the video is pretty hillarious!

Me and all the boys...I even went down a few times.

 Daddy did too...

  Making snow Angels...

 The Woods and the Wyndams...
Exhausted little boys after our full day of fun!
We then went downtown with Grandpa Bob.  This is Mudgy the Moose.  He lives in Coeur d'Alene.  If you look closely at his antler, you will see Millie the Mouse.
This is Lake Couer d'Alene all lit up at night.

See the fisherman in this lighted scene?

 Once there was a snowman...snowman....snowman...

This was a decorated window downtown.  Funny thing, the artist's signature in the bottom says, "Crystal Clear".  (James' company name)

It was a fun and fast filled 3 days!!  Thank you so much for your hospitality and good times!!!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning started off right around 7:30.  I woke up and quickly got up and dressed and ran downstairs to get the charged cameras.  By the time I got back upstairs, I was hearing little footsteps of Decker's heading out to the living room.  I wanted to record him coming down the hall....I slept in too late.  :)
All of our stockings were laid own on the counter.  I made two new ones this year. One for Grandma Wood and one for Keppi...and we found a Scooby Doo stocking at a garage sale this summer.  We filled it with Scooby Doo fruit snacks.  The boys loved this!  I made these Red Charger plates for our families.  "Wise men still seek Him"
The morning spread...we even hung up our Grinch lights on the mantle...

Decker and Cody were checking out the plate of cookies we put out for Santa... ALL GONE!

We had to go wake Cody up...he's still a little tired.  ;)
Don't you love his BED HEAD???

Grandma is helping Cody go through his stocking.

Decker got a little Avenger's notebook.  He asked for Avenger "stuff"...Santa came through for him.  He must have been on the NICE list this year.  ;)
 Group picture...
Decker got into the unwrapping of gifts.  :)
Decker is laying out all his new eReader books with Cody's Thomas eReader books.
Here's a red Doggy blanket Keppi gave to Cody.  Decker got a green Frog blanket too.
The Beast from Beauty and the Beast.  His Beast head comes off and underneath is the Prince Head.  Cody says the Beast is SCARY.
Cody got a little Disney set of figurines.  Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, Clairabell and her dog and another character...I'm not sure what his name is...maybe Bruno???  Anyone know??

I put a book together for Mike for Christmas, chronicling our year that we dated before we got married.  I included journal entries that I wrote back then...He sat there and read and read...brought him to tears.  ;)
And of course, the Box became a favorite play toy of the morning.  ;)
Grandma got these cute stuffed dogs for the boys.  Cody then stuffed him into these McDonald happy meal boxes.  Perfect fit!
For Breakfast, we had bacon, waffles, eggs, hashbrowns and juice.  Cody was my little helper...

Mike and Cody dancing in the kitchen...
Keppi and me did the rest...Thank you Chef mommy and Chef Keppi

Decker's excited about 20.00 from Grandma and Grandpa.  He ended up buying an Avenger's book at Costco in February and saved the rest.
Keppi and Cody enjoying cuddle/story time together.
Decker got these green Toy Story LEGOS...Grandma very patiently worked with him putting them together.

Now it's daddy's turn to snuggle with Cody and his stuffed puppy.... So Cute!
