Just some cute boys

May 11th  Thought we'd get some cute pictures on Sunday morning...so hard to get them both looking the right direction and smile at the same time!  Too cute!

May 14th--Boys got a haircut over the weekend.  We're waiting for the school bus...

Love that these two can be best friends...

Cody's Milk mustache with his burger--being silly

Field Trip to Ferrel McWhitter May 27th 2014

Decker's class had a field trip and I could go to help chaperone.  I was assigned two children from Decker's class--Decker and Zeke, plus Cody!.  This tells you how many chaperones there were. 2 kids per parent -- pretty great!  Cody was so excited!  We got to ride the big yellow school bus.

We got to visit the barnyard.  Goats...

 Zeke was in my stewardship.
cute baby goat with such soft ears.

This is a big hairy pig.

 and a huge soft BUNNY!
Mama Sow... she likes to roll around in the mud, make a place to rest and sleep there all day.  ;)
 Cute roosters and hens...

 A PONY...

 A Donkey...
Then we walked through the woods to see the horses.  The kids got very distracted by pathways.

Then Cody got to sit by Kamryn...
She really liked having Cody sit next to her.  Cody was a little shy and avoided her advances.  ;)  LOL
Then when we went back to school, we went into the library where they were holding the Book Fair.  Cody picked a book about FROZEN and Decker picked a book about MAX STEEL.  So glad Decker loves to read!
I remember going to the book fairs when we lived in Germany.  All the books stacked up so nicely fresh and clean and wanting to buy them.  Decker is the same way.  His teacher took all the students to the library and had them pick out books and create lists.  Of course, his was about 20 books long.  He could only choose one.

We also bought a book for Miss Comer called "Penguin on vacation".  He goes to the tropics and makes friends with a crab.  Cute story.  Decker is on his way to being a First grader!!!!

Uncle Ben and Keila's visit June 5th, 2014

These boys love to be together.  They got here late one evening.  I bet Ben is telling a story about his knife, I mean butterknife.  :)  I could hear the boys cracking up in their bedroom.

We went out to Ben's brother's house and ran into Daniel Sifuentes.  Mike was so happy to see him.
They have this huge rope swing on their property.  You start at the top of this very steep hill and WHOOSH!
Where'd he go????
There he is and Decker being a dare devil lying at the bottom as it swings right over him.
This is Ben's brother.
Ben's nephew, Daniel, Mike and Ben...
Fun get together..

TBALL Season 2014 March 22, April 12, April 26, May 2

This year, we signed Decker up for T-Ball.  Coach Carl was the coach.  He had two main assistants, Mike and our neighbor, Brian.  We started training mid March and the season went through June.  Culminating with an awards dinner where all the players received a little "gold" medal...I overheard some of the kids talking about their "real gold" medals.  So cute.  When we got home, we found Decker drawing on his with a marker because "when Cody starts TBall, I don't want my medal to be confused with Cody's medal"
The medal even has Decker's name inscribed on it...that he didn't realize.
When we first started practices, they learned the basics...throwing the ball at the fence, running around the bases, batting a big ball.  One of the more memorable practices we went to was on a Saturday morning and it was 36 degrees.  Decker was so cold.  Poor little red hands, almost deterred him for the rest of the season.

There's Coach Carl giving the kids instruction.
Looks like he hit the ball!

And Coach Mike...pulling in to huddle up...

We even played kickball to keep things fun and exciting!
there goes Decker running to first base.

Then they practiced running around all the bases...

Cody would amuse himself by climbing up the hills near the playground and then sliding down the hill on his rear.  Many of the other kids wanted to play up in the hills too.

Love all the dirty bums...

The playgrounds got lots of play time too...This is Mason.

Cody really wanted to play TBall too.  Helmet's a little too big.  :)
Everyone had a chance to play all the positions...even the outfield.

This is Julianna...ready for the hit...
Aili or Aria is ready too.
Mason says "you're out!"

Nice swing Decker!

Run Decker Run!!

Here goes Vivian or "V" as we liked to call her!

Here's Decker--the Catcher...He had a hard time walking in the gear. He was so excited to wear it all at first, until he found it hard to move in them.  Tristan helped him with his form.

And of course there were times the kids weren't "into" the game...

As Coach Carl was handing out the awards, he said Decker was the "most improved"  as the season wore on as he became more and more focused, not wanting to run to the playground instead of playing.
