Blue Angels, Riding the Ducks and Celebrating Grandma Wood's 70th Birthday August 1, 2014

It's August 1st, there's a blue sky, it's warm  perfect for a day outside, by the lake.  We were celebrating Grandma Wood's birthday.  James' family was in town, Jon and Ilee were here too.  We found a great place on the West side of Lake Washington.  The Blue Angels were performing.  We got there early and camped out, made our space with our blankets and lawn chairs, sat in the shade and waited for the show to begin.

This was an engraving on a bench.

Such a warm day, we decided to let the boys swim in the lake even though we weren't prepared with swimming suits.

We threw a few rocks in the lake too.
 and sunned ourselves...so relaxing...

Then the ICE CREAM truck came.  I was mean mom and said I wouldn't buy them a 3 or 4 dollar popsicle.  Cousin Ilee asked if she could get one for the boys.   How could I say no?

awww!  sharing !

We found this cool tree hanging out over the lake....Photo ops!
Even James jumped in to cool off.
