Day 5: Disneyland

We got there a little after the gate opened.  Gordon and Krystal saved us a 15 dollar parking fee by being annual pass holders.  Mike went and got breakfast for everyone at McDonalds while we parked the cars. I think some weren't quite ready to wake up this morning...
 Decker finishing his juicebox.
Yay!  Time to go to Disneyland!  Here we come!

At the front gates we got to meet Pluto and get his autograph....the boys were still nervous by these huge fluffy cartoon characters...

Then we got to meet Goofy!

Decker wanted to ride around the park...
And Kylie wanted to push him...so it worked out well!
Getting Walt Disney, Mickey Mouse and the castle to smile wasn't hard...but for the kids...another story...

 It's the Mattahorn!

As we waited in line for the Peter Pan ride...our first of the morning, we watched the Evil Queen peek out from behind this curtain, every minute.  Decker was a little spooked by her, but wanted to see her... and watched and waited for her.
Then we got to ride the Buzz Lightyear ride.  3D glasses
Hikers on top of the Mattahorn...
 Aliens...weeeeeeeeee....
And Buzz himself....this was Decker's favorite ride.
Another picture of the Mattahorn..Cody's already out!

Waiting in line for Alice in Wonderland ride...
Don't we all wish we could go into one of these little doors and see what's inside???

Live Princess training...Cody standing in a midst of miniature princesses...  Love it!
I made the comment, " I don't remember us as girls being so Princess Crazy when we were young girls", and then it was pointed out to me that we were growing up in the time when Princesses were making their debuts in films...Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladin ....Oh yeah! I remember singing to their songs with my sister Michelle dancing around the living room floor...
 And there's Arielle!
We only got the back side of Belle...
Off to It's a Small World for some cool relaxation...10 minute ride

Decker did not want to ride Space Mountain with Mike and me, He cried and cried in the line and I finally gave in and we left the line...thank goodness for Family passes.  Mike went ahead and rode the ride and then I got to go when he got off.  While Mike was riding, we found this enormous granite ball that weighs 6 tons  that if you push it rolls in the water.  Decker had fun getting wet with this ball....
Autotopia.  Decker loved driving his own car!  We even got to ride in a green one.  This one is of Mike and Cody.
 Disneyland parade...Mickey and Minnie...
Goofy, Chip and Dale.  I remember when my parents took me to Disneyland the first time when I was probably 11ish and I came home with a Dale, (red-nosed) chipmunk stuffed animal and Dumbo stuffed animal.
 There's Ariel...Under the Sea...
Donald likes to be at the center of attention...
 Snow White....
 Belle...
 Lion King....
Captain Hook and Peter Pan...Decker did not want to see Captain Hook...in the parade wasn't so bad.  ;)

 Let's go Fly a Kite!!
Then we went to Toon Town.  This is Mickey's mailbox....
 and his house...
 There's Pluto's bed...
 and Pluto's bone...
Cody liked looking in this mirror.  Every minute or so, Mickey Mouse would appear, each time, Cody would be looking at us instead of into the mirror...

 And Mickey's car...
After the Fantasmic show, we had 1 hour left.  Decker and Kylie were both asleep, so Cody, Mike and I got to ride about 6 rides with virtually no line.  Winnie the Pooh, this Merry -go-Round, which is his favorite...

Dumbo flying elephants which was awesome!  You can control the height of your Dumbo...

 Pinocchio Ride
 Snow White

And this is how we ended up at 12:15 a.m.  Now we got in our cars and drove to Malibu, about an hour away. Went to bed about 2:30 a.m.
