This year it was just us so we invited a couple other families to come over and made it a potluck. The Courtney and David Criss family, Dale Partna and Scott and Candice Parker. There were 4 kids, Decker being the oldest. As you can see from the picture, he was out before the turkey even came to the table. He slept all afternoon while these 3 kids had fun on these chairs. Cody, Ellenora and Cameron. There was so much yummy food, we smoked the turkey and made stuffing, ambrosia salad, cheeseball and spinach artichoke dip. The Criss's brought salad, corn casserole, pumpkin pie, green beans with almond slivers--(we think Cody might be allergic to nuts from the hives and rash he got) and the Parkers brought a shrimp coleslaw, garlic mashed potatoes, yams with marshmallows, rolls, and apple pie and Dale brought the veggie platter. There was so much food! It was fun to try everyone's recipes.
We had a family Home Evening this week where we talked about being Thankful. I asked Decker what he was thankful for. He said 1. Movies 2. Lightning McQueen, 3.Blankets and 4. Jesus.
I'm glad the last one made the top 5. :)
