Work Trip to Vegas November 7th, 2016

I've got a conference to attend in my HOMETOWN!  YAY!!!  Kaylie gets to come with me and I'll stay with my parents and while I'm working Kaylie will have some time with Grandma and Grandpa.  On the airplane....here we come!
We found out that a certain dog likes pacifiers too...  Glad I brought an extra....
Walking into the Convention Hall at the Tropicana Casino and Hotel, I saw Iron Man and Captain America!!!  Off to save the World!
My work group ate at an Irish themed pub at the NEW YORK NEW YORK Hotel.  I had the Halibut.  I don't think it was as fresh as it could have been had I been at home in the Pacific Northwest.  :)
Here's our booth and a few of my coworkers...Elizabeth from St George UT, Cody from Salt Lake City UT, and Amanda from Portland OR.
I'm now into my 17th year working at MBS.  I've attended probably at least 17 tradeshows during my tenure....
But the best thing about my trip was being home and being with my family.  Here's Nya and Kaylie, born about 10 days apart.
We walked to the kids school to pick them up.  Nice little jaunt in the shining SUN!
  Cute GIRLS
Kids had fun riding around the little push toys in the house.  We have pictures of our cousins on our fridge at home and Kaylie always likes to look at them and name them all.

So while I was in Las Vegas, Mike let me know that Cody decided he wanted to cut his hair himself.
Mike had
a conversation with him about not cutting his hair again.  Thought that would be the end of it.
The next day, Cody took the scissors to his head AGAIN.  Mike didn't feel like he could leave it like this, so he buzzed his hair.  When Mike sent me the pictures...I actually cried!
Cody did not like his hair...he called himself bald and a few kids in his class called him bald which made him very sad.  He wore a winter hat and didn't want to take it off. I emailed his teacher and let her know the situation about the hat and hair and was very kind in letting him leave it on and reassuring him that he was very handsome and the same sweet boy, Cody, that she knew before the haircut.  It's now March 2017 and about time for him to get a haircut....5 months later...I hope he learned his lesson and will only let me cut his hair and not take scissors into his own hands till he's older.
Also, since Kaylie and I were out of town, Mike took the boys over to Idaho.  We've driven past these statues/monuments many many times...but this time decided to stop and take a few pictures.  This is right near Vantage on the East side of the bridge.

They went and hung out with the Wyndhams.  It's always a party when these guys get together.
Cody showing off his Skills....he and Decker have been members of a chess club at school this past semester.
And of course, some video games....

They got to spend some time with Grandpa Bob too!

This is one of my favorite pictures...

  That hair is really soft!!!
   The FANGED MATER!
And of course, there has to be a stop at SUPER 1....
For 25 cent ICE CREAM CONES!

Back to Vegas.....
Found this gem, going through some of our picture books at home.  Jon, Michael, me and Michelle.  I think mom said this is when we had the Chicken Pox....
Mom has an anti gravity machine that we all hung upside down on.  Here's Isabel.

That's a lot of GIRLS!  Love my sistas!
Here's Breez...she tried out and got accepted to sing in a choir.  They just performed this past week in March!  So proud of this girl!
I went to lunch with Mike and then got to meet his grandsons.  So cool to see GRANDPA MIKE!!

Well...by the end of the week, Darby ate a few of Kaylie's pacifiers and some that mom had on hand for emergencies...  bit the tips off them all.  LOL  She likes their pacifiers and their socks...will pull them right off their toes.
Here's another gem I found of me and grandma Lyon...
I guess it's time to go home... back on the airplane once again.
She passed out and slept most of the way home and lucky us...we had an empty seat next to us for her to nap on....Soon we'll be back in Seattle!
Earlier in October, we had our National Sales meeting in Columbia MO.  I was honored for working at MBS for 15 years...Really it's been 16 years, but the cut off date for when they do these commemorations are September 1 which is our Fiscal year.  And my start date was September 11, 2000.  Now I'm into my 17th year with MBS....how our lives twist and turn...couldn't have imagined that I would be here today.  I remember when I was offered the position, I thought...well, I will give it a year and see how it goes.....It's been a wonderful company to work for and I have a lot of amazing people that I respect that I get to work with.  Not to mention the wonderful places I've been able to travel to and people I've met.
The WESTERN REGION:  Beth Gallagher, Susan Miller, Amanda Faltyn, Cody Shaw, Elizabeth Taylor, Cathy Slane and Robin Stegen.
Here's a link to the video MBS created for me which they played at the dinner.  (The Password is with a Capital "J")
