Kindergarten and 3rd grade Orientation & our Labor Day weekend camping September 1st

School is going to begin...right around the corner and this little guy can't be more thrilled to be attending Cottage Lake Elementary along with his older brother.  School doesn't start for another week and 1/2, but we went to the orientation to meet the new teachers and see the classroom.  Cody found his name at his seat.
The job chart in his classroom..  He likes to be the Special Helper, because he can do everything when the other kids are gone and fill in for them.
We then went out to the playground and played for a bit.
Our little Monkey!  Cody loves to cross the monkey bars.
This is his teacher Mrs. Wright and her helper/TA doing student teaching, Ms. Sonja.  Also they had POPCORN which is one of the perks of going to school on Friday.  Cody loves it!

This is Decker's new teacher, Alison Castro.  Our neighbor was so excited to hear that she was in Mrs. Castro's class.  Her son Roarke also had Mrs. Castro in the 3rd grade and LOVE her!  Yay for awesome teachers!!
We got this little xylophone piano from a gifting network.. the kids like to play it.  Now that the boys are taking piano lessons, they can actually play songs on it.  ;)

One last HURRAH before heading back to  school.  It's Labor Day weekend and we went camping down at MacDonald Park.  We recreated our picture from a year ago....
We waited too long to make our reservations, so we ended up camping in a spot that didn't come with electric plug ins and water.  Kaylie's bike seat came in handy to transport our water from the pump.  :)

We went on a bike ride.  The kids really enjoying getting on their bikes and it's fun to actually do a little trail riding with them.  What a beautiful place this is!
Down by the river...he wouldn't really throw her in, would he?/

It's lunch time and Decker made his own delicious sandwich.... mustard jam and Doritos...makes you go hmmmm....
