December Fun 2016

Kaylie started playing Peek a Boo.  She'd go under her bed and peek out the window and say "Boo"!   Way too cute
Kaylie wore these pajamas last Christmas...she was so short her little legs would come up to her chest and out of the legs.  This year  they are just about right.  She can walk in them...they may be a little small on her, but cozy and perfect for Christmas. She likes the lace on the sleeves and the velvet feel.

Cody's class is putting a basket full of cooking supplies for an auction to raise money for Cottage Lake Elementary.  His class is also putting together a cookbook full of photos of the children cooking at home, shopping at the store etc.   This was Cody's submission.  We gave them our favorite Tortilla soup, Chicken and cream cheese recipes.
December 10th--Decker came home one day and was raving about the Nutcracker.  His music class was learning about it and acting out a few parts.  He was you tubing performances of some of the music.  So I went online and found a local highschool production and took Grandma, Cody and Decker to it.  I thought for sure they would be bored or think it was too girly.  They loved it and were thrilled.  We came home with a little Rat King nutcracker and Cody had a little nutcracker ornament and we brought a little wooden ballerina ornament that the legs kick up when you pull the string for Kaylie.  This may become a yearly or every other year tradition?  I loved having a little time with the boys.
Here's one of the last Sundays Kaylie will be in the library with me...she will be off to Nursery in a couple of weeks.  sniff sniff!

December 16th--last day of School....At the boys school, they are having a Matchy Match day at school.  So I got the boys some matching sweaters and couldn't resist the little red Christmas sweater dress for Kaylie.  I think they are all adorable!

Decker and Cody have been attending a chess club on Friday's after school.  This was Decker's medal.  He wanted me to share it on Facebook, but I didn't get to it.  Here it is.  ;)
I put up Roberta's little tree in the boys room this year.  They liked having their own Christmas tree.  They pulled some ornaments off the main tree and hung them on theirs.  Rochelle...one of my friends and Origami Owl customers gifted me with some round ball ornaments that they hung on the tree.
Our ward Christmas party went on the Polar Express....Get your tickets here....

Decker adores her little sister and Kaylie adores her older brothers.  Decker likes to pick her up and carry her around.
Santa even came to visit the Polar Express...

This is officially Kaylie's last day in the library....
Funnily enough, she learned to crawl under the swinging gate...but not until today.  Great timing!!
Just a cute picture of Kaylie hugging her blanket during her nap...so sweet!
Look! it's Snowing!!!!  December 23rd! So close to Christmas and so magical!

We went to Auntie K's ward Christmas party.  Cody has been so worried that we wouldn't see Santa this year, since we didn't see him in Las Vegas at Thanksgiving like we normally do.  They've been talking about Mountain bikes since our summer camping trip to Farrogut, but he ended up telling Santa he wanted an Ipad.  I don't think Santa brings Ipads for kids.  I told them that I would talk to Santa and ask for bikes for them instead.....We'll see...
Decker got his turn and said he wanted an Ipad for Christmas too...
Kaylie said, "Mom, what are you doing putting me on this Elf's lap????"

They had a room for little kids to make cookie necklaces..so she made one and had a little h'orderve before dinner.

So did Cody.  He's been wearing this little vest sweater lately and saying he gets the Best Dressed award.  I must say, he is looking pretty handsome!
They also had a SNOWBALL room with these lights that lit up this darkened room.  They had little yarn snowballs to throw at each other.  IF you can't tell...this is Decker holding Kaylie...
Our chairs for the dinner were little decorated snowmen.  Decker took the stickers and made himself into a creepy snowman.  LOL
Saturday December 24th...Christmas Eve...We made some Christmas cookies.  Then delivered a few on Christmas Eve.  They turned out yummmy!  Secret ingredient?  A little Orange extract.

The force is strong with this one.  The boys got light sabers for Christmas and Kaylie LOVES to swing them around!
Daddy got mommy a Selfie Stick!  Had to practice with it...

Reading a book while riding her tricycle...pretty sure that's not allowed.  ;)
Mommy gave daddy this Nerf bow and arrow.  Decker is showing me his Hawkeye Pose!
When we were in Coeur d'Alene visiting with the Wyndhams and Grandpa Bob, we went to the Dollar movie and saw Trolls.  Kaylie actually fell asleep in my lap during the movie.
I found myself dozing off a couple of times...liked the movie...especially the music!
Decker and Abby at the Wyndhams...
One night we went to Triple Play Hotel and met up with Keila's brother.  The boys went swimming....it was very similar to Great Wolf Lodge...they had water slides, a bowling alley and Arcade.  Kaylie couldn't go swimming, so went to the arcade and she got to ride on this little Merry Go Round...which she didn't like too much...

Kaylie loved the dogs..   Ranger and Abby!
