Camping at Farrogut State Park
We left on Friday and the Blue Angels were performing! Mike took the kids and Keppi out on the boat to watch the show. I stayed home and worked so that I could go on vacation care free. :)
It was a beautiful day and amazing how low the jets get to the water.
Can you see any living creatures in this tree?
Look a little closer.
tired kids napping in the trailer
We set up the ladder game and played throughout the week. Kaylie wore the balls as necklaces...sometimes we had fight some tears so we could play.
Biking is an integral part of our camping vacation. I think Decker is riding Trev's bike...he thinks he needs a bigger bike. There was one kid who played with the boys and touted his mountain bike and how cool it was...Decker and Cody had no idea they existed...gears, handle brakes....
Auntie K came out to camp with us for a few days., before she began her road trip down to Salt Lake City. She hasn't gone camping in YEARS--like 30...she realized it wasn't so bad and actually comfortable. ;)
The boys are looking in on their baby sister who isn't quite asleep yet.
We continued reading Harry Potter and Goosebump books...Here, Decker is showing off his war wounds from his bike accident. Both he and Cody ended up with scraped elbows and knees this trip. Kaylie didn't get away with any injuries either. She fell and hit her mouth causing a swollen red lip and blister.
We went down to the swim beach and the boys had a fabulous time digging moats and building castles. Grandpa Bob brought his kayaks for the kids to paddle around and they had a ball.
Cody even took Kaylie for a ride...she wasn't too happy about it all as she was exhausted..
She finally passed out! ;)
We had Trev and Lincoln sleep with us in the tent trailer. Slumber party!!! By morning, Lincoln had his own bed as all other 3 had migrated to Trev's space. ;)
Mike and Ben helped Grandpa Bob put up a shed and I got to take all the kids for the day. We went to Costco and had hot dogs, and we went and watched the Jungle Book at the dollar theater and then off to Haydn Beach for some swim time... and again...they love to build the moats and sand castles and be buried.
Early morning in the trailer. ;)
Mom's new Ipad, that I got for free from Hotel Reward points, and the boys.
There she is with her balls.
I tried to keep my hair pulled back...like my uneven different colored braids?? LOL I always wondered what it looked like from the back.
We took the boat out to our family Rock and the boys got out and stood on it. Glad we were able to find it again and it was accessible.
and of course a stop at the ice cream shop...who were anxious for us to get out of there, so they could go race their sailboats.
Dad installed these cool new light up drink cup holders in the boat. Kaylie was fascinated by them.
And of course we saw multiple deer during our week.
Love all of our faces and Kaylies' scrunchy face.
cleaning up camp and packing everything away....sniff sniff...
At Haydn Beach
Then back at Bens all the boys slept in Bens tent in the backyard. Here's the boys....
And here's Papa Bear...
Not often does she fall asleep on me. I was in heaven.....
There's our fearless and awesome dad!!! WE LOVE HIM!!
Exhausting trip... LOL
