Go Mariners! Sorry Oakland Athletics...3 to 4 May 8th

Mike got a couple of tickets for the Mariner's Game and Grandma Wood took the boys for the night.  Grandma said she wanted to take the boys to see a movie.  Cody and I had a talk before they went and I asked if they were going to get popcorn.  I told him I loved popcorn from the movie theater.  I said if there was any left over, that he should bring it home for me.

Well when we got home, the kids were in bed and grandma said that Cody had told her that they needed to save some popcorn for his mom.  They had bought one of the smaller bags, but Cody was insistent that he save some for his mom.  ;)  Such a sweet boy.  so I got to eat a bit of popcorn that night.  ;)

Seattle Boat gave us the tickets to the game.  We sat next to a couple of really nice ladies that were visiting from back East.  They ordered the nice and hot peanuts.  The game was pretty slow, and we were tied by the ninth inning. The ladies left and had some peanuts left....Mike and I decided to do something wild and crazy...a little embarrassed to admit this, but we finished off those peanuts...

Our seats were great!  This warning was on all the seats in front of us.  We were in seats to the right of home plate.  We didn't get any balls in our direction though.

Dave Niehaus was the Mariners broadcaster from 1977 to 2010 when he passed away.  They've made this statue of him at the stadium

 This is the guy that throws the peanuts at you.  Over the head, backwards etc.

We had a great time and in the 11th inning we won the game!  It was such a relaxing game.  The seats were actually quite comfortable.
