Happy Birthday Cody! You're 3!

Cody had 2 a couple of requests for his birthday.  He wanted a rainbow cake.  He wanted a Mickey Mouse cake and donuts for dessert.
Here's our rainbow mix.  It turned out fabulous!
The boys got into my food coloring too!  BUSTED!
Cody wished for donuts for breakfast...we ran to Safeway bright and early and picked out some yummy sprinkles.  ;)

For dinner we made mini pizzas.  They put what they wanted on their pizzas and we used Halloween cookie cutters to cut out sliced mozzerella cheese to put on top...ghosts, bats, black cats, pumpkins.
Cameron, Aili and Aria came over.

While they cooked, we played an old Gamble favorite...Who can keep the balloon in the air the longest without it falling to the ground...it was a hit!
 Pizzas are ready!

Grandma and Keppi came over to join the festivities.
We passed out the balloons so they all had one to play with...
Cody opened his presents...a color book about signs from Cameron, Work tool bench with tools from Aria and Aili,--Tristan and Chandler thought Cody would love their work bench.  Grandma and Keppi gave LEGOS and green ball pajamas.  Daddy got him some cap guns  and a Disney Pirate ball.  Such a fun night!
Everyone crowded around Cody as he opened his presents and everyone wanted to help open them up.
We got them sand for a sandbox.  A little tender mercy...I had wanted to get Decker sand for a sandbox.  In our Big Toy in the backyard, there is a space underneath that you can fill with sand.  I really wanted to get some beach tools, especially a sifter...I went to TOYS R US thinking for sure they would have something, I looked at Value Village...Note to self...October is not the time of year to buy beach tools.  The day before Cody's birthday, on the FREECYCLE group that I belong to, someone posted an offer of a Turtle sandbox with a lid, and they said they had some sand tools they would throw in.  I emailed her back and said we'd like it.  I didn't hear back all day, so I thought someone else had gotten it.  Later that evening, she emailed me back and said we could come pick it up the next afternoon.  We went over there and there was a turtle sandbox with beach tools, including a sifter!  Tender mercies.  We had our sandbox...I had gone to Home Depot and bought  350 pounds of sand that weighed down my trunk for a couple of days.  The sandbox came on the perfect day!

Then it was time for the Mickey Mouse cake!  I spent a lot of the day working on it!
 Time to light the candles...

Of course, we had trick candles...

Aili and Aria loved Decker's Scooby Doo and Red Dog blanket.

 Such a fun party!
Can't believe my baby is 3!
