Decker and the Science Fair April 4, 2014

Decker's school celebrated their annual Science Fair.  In his class they were learning about HABITATS.  Each student chose an animal to study and share information about their Habitat.  Decker chose the snake.  They had each of the kids sitting at their desk with their cardboard picture they drew and info on the back.

Students from the other grades toured the Kindergarten class and asked the students to tell about their animals and their habitats.  It was so well organized and orderly.  And so cute to see the children telling about their animals.

This is Ryder and his tiger.
It says:  This display is about a Snake Habitat.  In an animal habitat, there is food, water and shelter for the animal. 1.  The food for the Snake is leaves.  2.  The water for a snake is a lake.  3.  The shelter for a snake is the trees.  One more fact about snakes is that "Green snakes hide in green stuff."
On a separate note, Decker had a dream/nightmare...a "Blueberry" snake had slithered into his bed by his feet.  It freaked him out and he came into my bed.  I snuggled with him till he fell back asleep.

The girls love Decker.  Way too cute.  ;)
On our visit to Coeur d'Alene... We went to visit Grandpa Bob a couple of weeks after his surgery.  James, Jon and Ilee were there too.
We stayed with the Wyndams and slept in Grandpa Bob's trailer.  Here's a cute pic of the boys watching a movie.

We made the trip to Cabela's, of course.  This is Ben with his dad and boys.
This is a picture of Grandpa Bob and Eloy.
 Jon and Ilee...
Grandpa Bob said he would give the kids a treat if they picked up pinecones from the back yard.
Ilee is riding with the boys back home.  We had driven two cars, I was going to make some work visits on the way home.
Back in Woodinville, we're visiting Heath's house.  Mike put Cody on his mailbox.

 and then Decker's turn.

And here's Liam.  I was helping Heath pick out an Origami Owl necklace for Nancy's birthday.  We had pizza and had Frozen playing while we were working on it.

 Heath's dad, Steve.

Random photos from March 2014

Love those big brown eyes!  Is he showing us his teeth?  I think he might be showing me his loose bottom tooth...so long ago, it's hard to know...
Cody was so tired...but didn't want to go to bed.  So he made his bed in the kitchen and fell fast asleep...
Well, Well, Well...  Who had the chocolate ice cream?????

Riding around in the front yard...he's got his LEGO sticker book in his cart.
Decker's on his way to help push his little brother.

We went and celebrated our friend, Jen Schmalle's birthday.  They had a ton of meatballs and spaghetti left over.  Hello frozen dinners... :)  (We finished off the last batch in August).

Just a little together time playing Mater Operation.

I made my first German Chocolate cake with real icing made from scratch...delicious...It was for the Relief Society Birthday dinner.
So I thought it would be fun to make cake pops with the boys.  So I rolled some cake and icing in my hands to make these balls...put sticks in them and froze them...
Then I gave a cake pop to each of the boys and let them dip them in melted chocolate ...
Then add the colorful sprinkles...They weren't pretty...How does starbucks get such a perfectly round and dipped cake pop???

But, they tasted good and it was a fun project.

Yes, I'm a KOKO nut!  So strong I can carry both my boys on my back.
Uh oh...someone took a Sharpie and drew on the wood floor...after some google searches, I learned you could use toothpaste to clean it off.  The abrasiveness in the toothpaste cleans away the mark.  You just have to be careful to not rub too hard or long...as it might take the finish off of your hardwood.  Great trick!

Aunt Cindy came for a visit.  us girls (Nickie, Auntie K, Aunt Cindy and I) all went to Spokane for Time Out for Women.  A girls night away.  It was so fun.  Keppi and I visited with Grandpa Bob afterwards.  He had some news that he had been diagnosed with Prostate cancer and that he would have surgery in a couple of weeks.  Mike and Keppi would go and be with him that weekend to take care of him post surgery.  The surgery went well and we went back a couple of weeks later to visit and keep him company.  James, Jon and Ilee went too.  It was great to be all together.
Aunt Cindy had brought some games for the boys.  A little dog bone game where you count spaces and find bones that are the color of your dogs collar.  (The boys always fight over the green dog)  And Decker got a frog game where you try to flip flies into his mouth as it closes, opens and rotates.  They are having a blast with them.
So cute...I caught Cody playing on the kids iPad with the headphones on.  So sweet...

kids doing their homework or playing a game.  Love them...
A double rainbow out our front door.
I heard Decker reading to Cody and wanted to catch it on film.  So proud of my little reader.
