So I'm in Alaska, it's a Sunday morning and I get an urgent text from Mike. Look at Decker's teeth! I was just as shocked when I saw the picture and immediately started googling teeth coming in behind baby teeth. I found out that this is very normal and happens to like 3 in 5 kids and they call it SHARK teeth. Cool huh? Decker thought that was pretty neat.
I read a lot of blogs and a Dentist's perspective on it. When I came back, we showed a friend-- who is also a dentist-- Decker's SHARK teeth and once again was comforted in him saying, don't worry about it, it's normal, they will push his baby teeth right out.
We had a dentist appointment scheduled in March, so every day, we would remind Decker to play and wiggle his teeth so he would get them out and not pay a dentist to pull them out. They didn't come out in time for the dentist appointment, but shortly thereafter....with a little help from Dad. Tying floss and string around Decker's tooth and yanking...when Mike brought out the pliers, I was out of there. :)
Eventually it the first came out and the tooth fairy brought Decker a silver dollar for that little tooth. He was excited!
Here are xrays of his top teeth...you can see the permanent teeth lined up to at some point break through.
And here's his lower teeth....pushing their way up...

A Visitor May 12, 2014
I got home from working out tonight to Decker running up to my car to say that they were trying to catch a bunny in the backyard. So funny to watch Mike running after a fast little bunny with a blanket...down to the woodpile, behind the blueberry bushes and finally to the stump behind the big toy. Got him....first time I ever heard a rabbit squeal. He was squirming trying to get free. Then we decided to bring him inside, put him in a box, feed him some carrot shavings--because all bunnies like carrots right? Took turns holding him and after an hour decided it was time to let him go. Tears ensued...they wanted to keep him forever. They had named him Spokky and then Peter Rabbit. As we went downstairs to put him in the backyard. The boys had one last chance to hold him. Then he got away...the chase ensued downstairs and behind the couch then towards the sliding glass door...Ahhhh! Freedom! Cody then chased him outside in the dark...he could see better though because he'd been eating carrots too tonight. More tears ensued...hopefully Peter made it back to his momma. I know I'd be sad if my babies were taken away for someone's pet....
The boys thought he might like to snuggle in a warm blanket.

Seattle Boat Show January 31st, 2014
We went to the Seattle Boat Show in Seattle. It is held every year. Mike is always working hard to get boats ready for the show and building stages, stairs, displays etc. This year, he just had to rig 20 boats.
It ended up being a highly successful show, because from the purchases he had to rig over 60 boats for customers.
Here's Seattle Boats Corner...
Of course, we need our 12th Man, Seattle Seahawks boat!
Here's Decker's favorite color
I see a familiar face on these ads....
Cute mechanic, huh??
Decker got to be towed by this happy sales lady. She pulled Decker back and forth down this aisle on the tube.
This is the coolest sand castle ever!
hydro plane!
How about a little sailing?
in the hull on the sailboat
Fun night to see everything at the show!
Fun at Auntie K's
Auntie K moved into her new townhome. We had a dinner night at her place. She is still getting settled. We are experimenting with doing Friday Pizza nights with her.
There are card games...
Bubble gum from the bubble gum machine...
And jumping from her stairs.
Now jumping together...
oops...left little brother behind...
Fun nights for ALL...
