Day Out With Thomas the Train April 13th

We made another trip to Sodor.  This time in Las Vegas.  Grandma Wood invited all her grandchildren to spend a day riding Thomas, meeting Sir Topham Hat and having fun cousin time.  There are a lot of pictures here and they are out of order,  It's hard to rearrange them.

We were all waiting in line to board our train that gave us a 3 mile ride.
Love these big eyes.
Sophia and Isabel had their faces painted.  Isabel had a butterfly painted and Sophia was a Diva.
Adam was painted with a tiger face.

Before we arrived in Las Vegas, we spent the night in Salt Lake at Uncle James' home.  I had to try out their swing.

We had a great time playing with cousins there.
Cody and Decker loved playing with Sargeant Pepper and Lilly.  They were just their size and they chased them all over the house.

James has been working out for the past few months at Cross Fit.  On Friday morning, I went to work out with them.  We ran, did Kettlebell throws, and jumping pull ups.  I even tried to climb a rope, which I could do when I was a teenager...not even close now.  The work out was tough and I was feeling it the next day.  My shoulders and neck were in serious pain for the next couple of days!

We went and visited the Gamble cousins in Salt lake too.  We saw their chickens and fed them feed.

This was a temple under construction in Payson that we passed by on the freeway.  Kind of cool to see it in this stage.
Since we are potty training Cody, we stopped many times for the boys to use the outdoor facilities.  Sometimes it took him awhile to get things started.
There were many naps in the car.  How Decker got into this position....I don't know!

Back to Day with Thomas.  One of the Engines at the Day with Thomas location.
They had bouncy toys
We got to sit in an outdoor car.  Leah was a dragon I think...Alex and Eliott.
Amber, Abigail, the lizard and Adam the tiger.
Isabel and Breez on the train

The family...
The conductor came through our car...
Got a grip on those boys????  They loved to hang their heads out the car and have the breeze blow onto their face.

Mikey!!!

Welcome sign
Location to Board...
It's Sir Topham Hatt with Breez, Isabel, Abigail, Decker, Elliot, Cody and Sophie.
After our train ride, we got to watch a clown perform.  Cody and Decker still talk about the clown juggling fire, knives and rings.  He was quite an entertainer!

They had train tables set up in one area.  This was a favorite stop.

Painting designs with this paint wheel.

and air brush painting...

He made cool balloon hats too!
Cody got to stamp his tummy with a train stamp.
So did Decker...

Mom and I decided to get our faces painted too.  Mom asked to be painted as a Kitty. I asked to be painted as a butterfly.  Cody did not want to get his face painted, but he finally allowed her to paint a tiger on his arm.  The artist did this so quickly and was awesome!

My Favorite picture!
Then we got to ride a little train that a local train club built and put together. We saw a huge lizard while riding this train out in the desert.

The Engineers...

After we spent the morning visiting Thomas the Train, Grandma took us to a park in Boulder City that is famous for having Mountain Sheep come down from the hills and feed on the grass.  We got some Subway sandwiches and had a fun picnic.
Leah and Eliott shared a blanket under a tree...softer than a hard bench for this pregnant mommy of 9 months...
Cody ran all over this park...he is a fast runner!!
Which made him very thirsty.
They had one of these Merry Go Rounds...the kids loved it!

So did Grandma!  ;)
Abigail was still recovering from a broken leg.  It didn't stop her though, she was running right a long with Cody and riding the Merry Go Round.
Cody was then pretty tired...

Not 5 minutes into our ride home and he was out!
Side profile of my Butterfly...

Mom driving in her car...she has Decker with her...
When we got home, we looked at all the pictures with Grandpa from our day.

And this is Darby...their new puppy.  She is definitely a puppy that loves to play...especially with our little guys.  We had to keep her in her space for a lot of the visit.  She very easily knocked over our little guys with her jumps, kisses and hugs.  :)
The kids loved playing in the backyard with this sand table.  So fun to pour it back and forth into containers.

Is that Cody trying to sneak in through Darby's door??
And of course the kids got turns on the swing!
Sophie and Breez...
Mike and Alison on the train...
It was such a fun weekend.
The trip was made to have the Thomas weekend with cousins, grandma and grandpa.  My partner Gary at work retired from MBS and his car had to get back to Missouri.  We used this as an opportunity to drive his car to Vegas and another employee from MBS flew out to pick it up and drive it the rest of the way to Columbia.  Then we flew back to Seattle.  Mike left on Monday and I stayed with the kids for a couple of extra days.  More pictures to come.
