Trip to Coeur d'Alene April 6-7th

We went to Coeur d'Alene for the weekend to visit Grandpa Bob and the Wyndams.
While we were there, we went to check out our camping spots that we reserved for our August camping trip.  Here's a cool rock that the kids wanted to climb...it was pretty slippery with the moss and we had a couple of falls, but the boys were determined to get their pictures on top of them.

Back at the Wyndams...can you guess what they are all doing?
I Pad time of course!  All huddled on top of Lincolns bunk bed.  The kids were in their super hero costumes for much of the weekend.  Lincoln was Iron Man and Trev was a Power Ranger while Decker was Buzz Lightyear.  Cody wore his Robin costume, though he didn't have it on here.
We love Grandpa Bob!  Mike helped Grandpa Bob put a mini-fridge in his trailer.  He has really made his trailer a home away from home.
We had our traditional Papa Murphy's Pizza dinner with Bob and the Wyndams, watched/listened to General Conference and we learned to play Canasta!  A game with lots of rules/points to remember.  We stayed up till 3 am one night...eating Oreos and Mountain Dew...I however, remained strong and didn't eat any.  (Will post later about my exercise program I've been doing since January.)

When it was time to get in the car and head back to Seattle...cars all packed and here we find them...out!  ;)
While they rested for a bit, we made some popcorn and watched a movie.
And Cody learned he could have a Super Hero cape made out of his blanket.  He wanted to wear it that way, even on the way home in the car and since then, he asks me to put on his "Batman" cape.  Love Boys!!!

Easter 2013

Easter was once again, for about 3 years in a row...BEAUTIFUL!  Sunshine everywhere you went...Front yard AND the Backyard.  We of course, had to wear the EASTER(N) shirt...now it's been passed on to Cody...
We went to the Redmond 3rd ward Easter Egg Hunt at Horace Mann Elementary again.  It's always great to reconnect with friends and see how big their kids have grown and meet new ones that have come along.

Cody collected about one egg in the 2-3 year olds area.  It was funny, because just like on America's Funniest home Videos, Cody kept dropping his egg, supposedly into his basket, and we had to keep telling him that he missed it and "try again".
We then moved him over to the younger 1 - 2 year old area where he could collect a few more eggs.
After this, he went to join Decker in the bigger kids area.  As he was running down the hill, he tripped and his basket of eggs went flying....Like vultures, the other kids ran to collect all the eggs that had fallen out of his basket.  :)  Poor Cody!
Decker ended up with quite a few eggs...we're still trying to get rid of our Halloween candy and now we have Easter candy to go through...can't seem to get away from the sweets...oh well...it helps in potty training Cody to have a treat every time he keeps his underwear or diaper dry.

Cute Brothers...
Cody got a few ow-ies on his knees playing on the playground...sometimes his little legs run faster than he can keep up.  For days after this, he would ask mommy for "new band-aids".
There was a big potluck with Hot dogs as the main event.

Cody just loves babies and he just had to go and hug this little girl. He can't resist them.  Such a sweet boy...
Cody is fearless and loves to climb all over the playground toys without assistance.  "I do it," he says.

Here he is on top of the slide...
This one, he climbed all the way up and would say, "Look, me, Look me!"  He wanted these girls to see how cool he was too, at the top of this toy.

Uh oh,  there's another baby...just want to touch her...
After the Easter Egg hunt, we went out to the airplane park.  People take their toy airplanes and fly them here.  Cody wanted to record the airplanes himself.
Then later that night, we colored Easter eggs...one of the colors was spilled within the first minute of getting them ready...can you tell which color is missing??

Decker of course liked to color his eggs green.  Cody liked doing yellow.

Sometimes you have to wait so long for them to be dyed!

After the kids were done..Daddy wanted to do his own egg...suicide style...He mixed all the colors in one stein and added an egg.

Yay!  All done!  Look how pretty!

And there's the suicide egg...sort of a camo forest green.
Easter morning was filled with building a LEGOS garbage truck and drawing pictures following step by step instructions in a drawing book.  They each got a Scooby Doo video and of course eggs filled with candy.

We also got seeds to plant our garden.  Decker will be in charge of the Sunflowers this year.  We got corn, peas, beans, butternut squash, green onions, zucchini, carrots and cucumbers.  We have yet to get some tomatoes and potatoes.  We ended up getting them in our garden on April 20th.  This was also the first day we mowed the lawn for the year.
Cute Boy!

Happy Easter!
