We went camping at our favorite camping spot. MacDonald Park in Carnation. We just upgraded our tent trailer, so we were excited to try it out.
This spider web was a discovery we made early on Saturday morning. (Our condo's fridge died this week and we had to go pick one up and install. So our Saturday consisted of taking care of that and getting rid of metal that we've collected over the last few months.)
The web was so beautiful because the dew was shining on it and glistening in the morning....I guess it wasn't just dew...it had rained all night....but we kept super dry. :)
We brought the stroller to keep Kaylie in..so she could go with us wherever we went and hang out at the campsite and nap if she wanted too. We kept her in Cody's old bear suit, since it was pretty cold.Another discovery was this snail.
Cody loves his baby sister!
Our new campsite. We didn't reserve a campsite early enough, so we didn't have the water and electrical outlets readily accessible. However our trailer has a battery...so we had heat. It was awesome!
On our Saturday outing taking care of the fridge, we were out so long that it was 6:00 before we got done. Auntie K came by the condo and took Cody to Value Village to shop for a new book while we returned the trailer we borrowed. This is us reading the new book around the campfire. ("Our Family gets a Pet")
Daddy decided he wanted to take a nap, so I took the kids to the beach.
And the kids wanted to play in the water despite the overcast clouds.
Decker found this pearl...we renamed the beach to "Pearl Beach"
Donna, The host of the campground was awesome. She kept her ear open if a cancellation came up with the powered campsites. She raced the boys. She's on her tractor and Decker on his bike and Cody on his scooter. A cancellation did occur so we were able to move to a different campsites and then we could try out the shower. Which came in handy for a couple of elephants...
Decker found a mud puddle...plenty of mud with all the rain we had. He pretended he was an elephant because they like to take mud baths. Then he asked if I knew where he could find some dust...I guess Elephants clean off with dust. :)
Decker used this watering trough to clean off his arms.
Monday morning I was sporting my tennage mutant turtles, camo shoes and striped shirt. I walked to the restrooms like this and felt a little embarrassed till I saw people brushing their teeth and flossing their teeth outside the restrooms with the water fountain.
Our new campsite.
Our friend Dave came out to visit and took the boys back to the beach with his dog Gracie.
I sat on the beach with Kaylie while they played in the water.
I laid Kaylie on the chair under her blanket to keep her out of the sun.
Do you see Cody peeking in?
