It's Pre K for this little guy! September 9th

So this morning we reminisced about the first day of school for Decker last year and how Cody punched him while we were taking pictures.  So Decker told Cody he could punch him again....maybe it will be a tradition between these brothers???
We gave Cody a haircut yesterday and got him a jacket and pants like Deckers to go with his new R2D2 backpack.  He loves his backpack because it has a button on it and when you push it, R2D2 talks with all his beeps, clicks and noises.

There's that sweet 4 year old.  Ready to go!  Decker did not want to get on his bus today.  He wanted to help take Cody to school and see his classroom.  He's so excited for him.  I asked Cody if he was nervous or excited.  He said he was excited.  They have a class bunny that has a home outside in the play area.  The preschool is on a lot of 4 acres, there is a lot of space to play.  They share the building with an Art Studio, where they will be able to create artistic masterpieces.  They will have a teacher come in on Wednesdays for half an hour to teach Spanish vocabulary. Ms Dani is the director and is FABULOUS!

This is the outside of Woodinville Country Day School.
He has two friends that he knows from church that are in the class.  Lawson Grunkemeir and Cameron Parker.  The different tables each had something to play with.  For the first 25 minutes is free play.  Cody chose this table that has play doh.  there were other tables with puzzles, cars, a water table.

Here's where he hangs up his backpack.
Bye Bye Cody!  See you in a few hours!
When he got home, he said "school was so fun."  They painted with their hands and made handprints.  He chose red paint.  He said they sang, "Head Shoulders, Knees and toes"  and they tried to do it so fast.  He couldn't keep up he said.  His favorite part was recess. He played with both Lawson and Cameron.  He looked at a book about an old school bus...he was a little more talkative than Decker ever was telling me about his day.
Here's some of the artwork from last years class, decorating the hallway.

On September 2nd, we went to his preschool for orientation and to meet his teachers.  Cody stuck by me and wouldn't venture too far.  After the presentation was complete, he was drawn to these brick building blocks.  I met another mom that had a 3 month old baby.  Her son was named Morgan.  I tried to get Cody to play with him.---too shy.
It started to topple...but he caught it and fixed it.

This is Ms King his prek teacher.

After school, I took Annie to lunch...kind of an end of an era.  She has been watching our boys for about 3 years.  Her twins, Aili and Aria are now in Kindergarten and she got a full time job with Puget Sound Energy.  She starts on the 14th.  Here are the 3 musketeers....Aili is doing the princess pose with her hands under her chin.  lol
