3 months old--didn't mean to post just yet...still in draft mode.

she squealed in the Honda with Decker playing with her.
She is sleeping 8 -10 hour stretches.
Eats every couple of hours during the day.
She is starting to roll to her side.  not over yet.September 14th
She has slept in her crib during nap time for a bit and likes her mobile.  Her naps in the crib are shorter than her swing naps.

she sneezes a lot.  cody said, she just farted and bless youed at the same time.

Finally! We went out on the boat! August 22nd

After a summer of heat waves in Seattle...we finally journeyed out on our boat.  This has been a summer of NEW Baby...and there are no regrets there.  But finally feeling like we were ready to go out.  Savannah is in town visiting, so Auntie K, Grandma Nickie and Savannah joined us along with Baby Kaylie!  YAY!!
Kaylie is trying out Savannah's Sunglasses...  So stylish!
Cousin Savannah loved holding Baby Kaylie....and it was so nice to have additional hands and arms to hold and love her.
We saw a tennis ball in the lake so the kids decided they wanted to jump in after it.  Decker got it first.--probably belonged to some golden retriever who may be missing their ball...
Then we threw it back in and let Cody go after it.
Just the boys went swimming today.
Grandma was the official flag holder while the boys were in the water.
 There's Auntie K!

Kaylie suddenly grew a lot of hair, or Donald Trump took time off from campaigning to join us on our boat.  :)

The boys at the helm in their favorite spot...
There are a lot of fires burning in WA which caused this Red Sun as it was setting in the West.

It was such a fun evening out on the lake!

Kaylie is 2 months September 1st

In our photo shoot for her 1st month pictures...How can I delete any of these pictures???
Kaylie is 2 months old and it just keeps getting more and more fun.  I remember the first couple of days home from the hospital and wishing that she wouldn't grow any older and wanting to hold her at the stage she was in.  Thank goodness there is another plan, because she has just continued to bring more JOY into our home and family.
Her stats:
Weight:  13 lbs 4 oz. (90%)
Height:  23.7 inches (90 - 95%)
Head circumference:  15.7 inches (90%)
It looks like she has lost a little hair in the front, though it is still very long on top and we can do a mohawk.  :)
She is getting strong and is able to hold her head up with little support.  We practice tummy time and has fallen asleep for a nap that way a couple of times and slept for a couple of hours.
The grunting has subsided a bit...it's not as loud as she used to be...though there are times that I can hear her trying to work things out.  She went a couple of days without pooping and when going to the Dr, was told to not worry about it unless it gets to 7 -10 days.  And as soon as we talked to the dr.  she pooped.  So she's had a couple of times where she has held it in for a couple of days, then explosion.  lol
She has found her fingers and I will hear her sucking on them....no preference for anyone finger, but she does like her fist.
Her sleeping just gets better and better.  We had one night she slept til 7:00 a.m. and I actually wanted to wake her up because I was so engorged.  A good EIGHT hour stretch has become the norm this month.  Bed around 9:30 and she would wake up at 4:00.  I can put her in her bassinet drowsy yet awake and she can soothe herself to sleep.  Of course it is after she has eaten on Both sides.    It's been great!  She is such a great sleeper!

Kaylie is 1 month

At her 10 day check up after being born, she weighed 8 lbs 14oz. (75-90%) Almost back up to her birth weight.
She is 21.8 inches putting her in the 98%.  I don't think she shrunk since the measured her at 22 inches when she was born, I don't think the dr.s assistant pulled her straight enough as the dr.s did in the hospital.
Head circumference was 15.2 inches also in the 98th percentile.

At her ONE month check up, she weighs 11 lbs 5 1/2 oz (90%)
Length:  22 3/4 in 95%.--She's now even taller.  ;)
Head Circumference 15 1/2 in.  (98%)

Kaylie is such a happy baby.  She smiles regularly--which just surprises me each time she does it since she is so young.  I was nursing her and I was talking to her...saying how happy we were that she is here and I said, "You make me so happy."  and I got the biggest grin out of her.
Her sleep habits the first month have been amazing.  She goes to bed around 9:30 and will wake around 4 - 6 hours later.  and then after feeding her she will sleep till about 6:00.  We did have one night that she slept 8 hours...of course, I was waking up to make sure she was still breathing.  lol Our Doctor said that is great, but I can't guarantee that will last.  Put the fear into me that she might revert to a 2 hour feeding schedule through the night.
There have been days that I feel like I am feeding her all day long.  She sleeps well in the swing and will sleep 2 -3 hours at a time, unless a little Cody gets on top of her to give her a love.  He can't get enough of her.  Which is mostly endearing and some times frustrating at the same time.
Nursing is going well, I look forward to the day when I'm not as sore.  :)
She grunts a lot!  She works on her Bowel movements when in her bassinet and she is loud.  It keeps both Mike and I awake listening to her.  It almost sounds like she is in pain.  I remember Cody being a grunter too.  We're not ready to move her out of our room yet though.
These are her ONE month pictures.  We took them the day of the blessing.

one of my favorites...

Having a C Section is definitely different than a vaginal delivery.  I get to the point where I can't move without pain if I stand for too long or sit too long or do any kind of walking.  It was so nice to have my mom here for almost 2 weeks.  She extended her stay, which was so helpful because she got me and Kaylie to all our Dr.'s appointments, entertained the boys, fixed their meals, cleaned our house.  I felt so guilty and grateful at the same time.

Grandpa Bob's visit August 1 - 10

Grandpa Bob came out for the week of the blessing.  The first week in August.  Cody is showing us how cute he is in daddy's hat.

The Wyndham's came as well. Trev was enamoured by Kaylie and held her many times while the other boys played.
Decker fell asleep cuddled up to grandpa Bob.
The boys played out on the trampoline quite a bit...hence the falling asleep in church the next day.  All four of them konked out.

At breakfast time, Facebook reminded Mike that it was Ben's birthday!  How could we forget that?

During his stay, the boys went to Camp Kilamanjaro.  It's a Bible camp at a local church.  The boys had a blast and Cody was so excited since it was his first year attending.  Decker has gone the previous 2 years.  Annie's family introduced us to the camp a couple of years ago, and this year Decker got an invitation in the mail to attend.  They were placed into teams.  Decker was on the Jaguar team and Cody was on the Lemur team.  I couldn't remember what a Lemur was and Decker quickly told me that it was like a monkey with a long tail.  It impressed me because he knew exactly what it was and was so confident in explaining it to me.  Wild Kratts, his favorite TV show is why he knew it.  This was their first day and they made these little drums they are holding.

Grandpa Bob went in to read them a story at night and then it turned into shenanigans.

Then Mike joined in and they laid there for a  couple of hours watching Youtube videos after the boys had gone to sleep.
It's Wednesday, and that means it is Crazy hair day!  We tried to mohawk their hair.  They are showing us the QUIET COYOTE signs.

They made cup telephones.  They really worked too.  We tried them out.

Cody just loves to hold his baby sister.
Grandpa Bob and Kaylie are doing some archer poses and having conversations.

Having another conversation with Grandpa Bob and Cody hugging Kaylie in her swing.

Auntie K also getting some snuggle time with the little one.  This orange pacifier was given to Kaylie in the hospital.  It's the only one she will suck on.

We had a fun time while Grandpa Bob was here.  We also had our Friday night pizza at Auntie K's townhome, checked out a tent trailer that a friend was selling--which we ended up purchasing.  It's an upgrade from our tent trailer....just a little bigger with extra amenities.  A refrigerator, 3 burner stove, kingsize bed, shower, heater, organizer. It's pretty awesome!
This is Brandon and Bill Woodland.  The trailer is a 2000 model

notice the hanging down mirror and it's also a place to hang paper towels.

For our Sunday night dinner, Ireland came over with her boyfriend, Chris.  He loved holding Kaylie and even did that instead of playing SNORTA with the rest of us.  Too cute!

The boys discovered this little joy ride down the stairs on the mattresses.  It's too bad we don't have a longer staircase.  :)

Mike also worked on installing our security cameras while he was here.since he had taken the week
