Do you see those scarves everyone is wearing? We knitted them!!!! I had asked on one of my Free FB groups to see if anyone had any Harry Potter scarves that they would like to unload and one of the members offered to teach me how to use a knitting machine and we could make our own. So I went and bought some yarn and went over to her house so she could show me how to do it. It was pretty awesome, I just cranked a handle and it magically knitted!! It was pretty awesome and I'm still amazed that we made them all....not quite perfectly, but good enough for a Halloween costume. LOL
Mike was Albus Dumbledore. We ordered his robe and hair off of Amazon....he got quite a few guesses on to who he was. Someone guessed he was God and Gandalf from Lord of the Rings. When you saw all of us together, it made sense, but if he was on his own...
Decker was Harry Potter and after I drew the lightning streak on his forehead, Cody who was supposed to be Ron Weasely, decided he wanted to be Harry too.....why not?? So I drew a lightning bolt on his forehead too.
Kaylie has an obsession with pumpkins. I got her a little book about pumpkins and the mouse draws different faces with different emotions on each. We had fun teaching her to make scary, sad, happy, surprised, and mean faces.
Here's Decker and his friend Sava.
The Halloween party at the school had a gym full of music. Kaylie has some rhythm and would dance back and forth to the music....so sweet...someone commented that watching her was the highlight of her night. She was pretty cute!
Cody, and a boy named Luke with Decker.
Auntie K came dressed as a kitty too. They colored in the cafeteria and we all played some BINGO!
We also headed out to the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday to pick the Perfect Pumpkin. Kaylie was in heaven!!!
Though she did not want to take pictures...
She wasn't quite sure she liked getting dirt on her hands
Kissing the pumpkin.
The boys were happy finding worms and bugs...
Then the pumpkin patch people told us there were some new calves in the barn. So we walked up there to see these little guys. So sweet!
Sunny Day!!! We had a great time!!!
cute girl with a little chocolate on her lip...lover her big eyes!!
Mike's Wizard glasses came in the mail... I thought I would try them out!
Had to try out Kaylie's CAT costume too. I went to the boys school and helped out in their Halloween parties.
One of Decker's games was to use Toilet paper and get rolled up like a MUMMY!
Then he had to wrap up his classmate, Anna N....
Then they could get on their costumes...
Decker's class! His teacher is Miss Castro...today she is Tigger wearing a Seahawks jersey.
I was in charge of the ring toss. There's Sava...
Then I jumped over to Cody's class and helped out there. He was busy making a Leaf Collage.
Bananas Ghosts with chocolate chips and tangerine pumpkins and witches brooms from pretzel sticks and string cheese. Cute!
Me and Kaylie got a little selfie action when I got home.
Then we had the ward Halloween party and we went Trick or Treating. Kaylie got one piece of candy and she was done. Ready to sit down and enjoy her bounty.
Becky and Paul Fisher in the ward. They always come out with great costumes!!!
Some of the creative and amazing jack-o-lanterns!
Then we had Auntie K's Halloween Ward party at the Barn and guess who was there? Presidental nominees, Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton!
They were our hosts.
We changed Kaylie into this onesie...which is actually a 3 month dress...we used it as a CAT top...still CROOKSHANKS THE CAT...
Scary fun treats the boys got from the Fishing Pole game.
Kaylie found another little her size.
mmmm suckers!!!
Then all clean....
On Halloween night the Hollis's came over to trick or treat
Our pumpkins we decorated. Wolves Howling was a theme...
and a Kitty pumpkin for Kaylie!
We went over to Heath Mason's neighborhood to trick or treat and this house had a sweet Doggie that had to be petted. ;)
Cool house. Cody was really tired of Trick or treating and was ready to go back so quick. It started to rain on us...
YIKES!!
And there is Heath in his Werewolf costume!
After what seems like a month full of Halloween dress ups and activities another one goes down in the books....Until next year! I posted and then I forgot to check Mike's phone. There were a few good ones...Me in Dumbledore's beard and hair.
