We drove over to Idaho after Christmas to spend some time with Grandpa Bob and the Wyndham family. Grandpa hasn't felt good for a few months. He's lost a lot of weight, doesn't taste food much anymore and has passed out a couple of times. He is waiting to see his doctor to see if he can get some answers.
When we were in Idaho, it was about 5 degrees and COLD with Lots of Snow! Perfect for our snow pants we picked up in Victoria last August at the Salvation Army thrift store. :) The little PINK abominable snowman. ;)
Ben and his boys had built a little snow caves and ramps in their yard that the boys enjoyed climbing on, rolling down and sliding.
We went out to a local hill in Spirit Lake to go sleddding. It was a STEEP mountain....I felt hesitant to go down the hill, not the boys though....I think that is Spirit Lake in the background. Silly Cody took his gloves off and of course was the first one that wanted to go home...
This is my Camel Snowman. I added the head and neck to this mound of snow...Perfect for a WISE Man.. ;)
There's Decker at the top!
Happy Trev. He loves to sled!
The sky was as blue as could be...Beautifully COLD!!! This is Lincoln racing down the hill.
CRASH!!
DECKER & LINCOLN at the TOP
I took Kaylie down a very short hill....she didn't enjoy it much...she was ready to get off at the bottom.
Kaylie found this little bucket and fit right inside.
ABBY and RANGER... So Sweet!
Keila's brother came into town, so we met up with his family at Triple Play Hotel. It is sort of like Great Wolf Lodge. With an indoor waterpark, bowling alley, Arcade. The boys all went swimming in the wave pool and had a great time.
They had the big bucket of water that crashes down on you too....
Poor Kaylie couldn't go swimming, so we tried to distract her and entertain her elsewhere. We went to the arcade and rode the Merry go Round. (My other December post has pics of that.)
The week went by quickly, there was a lot of movie watching, LEGO building, sleep overs in the bedroom, Video game playing. Ben installed a few dishwashers, they got the snowmobile up and running for a bit. On Sunday when we drove home, church was cancelled at their ward because of the snow. Needless to say, I was a little worried about driving home in the snow. It snowed all the way to Ellensburg. At Vantage, the road was hardly visible. after we got through that part which was the worst of it all, we learned they closed down the highway due to visibility and Elk crossings. Thank goodness we got through it when we did. It was like watching the stars at the beginning of Star Wars movie. Really cool, but kind of scary too.
