Merry Christmas 2015

The boys woke up around 8:30...Decker first...he had to then go wake up Cody.  They got into their stockings and found some toothbrushes, a traditional photo ornament for the tree, an orange and the question came up "why do we get oranges in our stockings?"  Because that's the way Santa did it for me growing up....

Hanging out with Grandma Christmas morning...
Cody is ready to go brush his teeth with his new electric toothbrush and anti-cavity swish.
Kaylie got dishes.  I've been practicing with her drinking out of a cup and now she has her own.

Decker opened up some black socks...
And Cody's got some white socks.  They'll trade 6 for 6.  :)

Grandma Wood opened up the 66 cent dress I got for Kaylie.  It's for a 12 month old....further down, you'll see her in it and how well it fits right now.
Kaylie is getting stronger and stronger in her back and is able to sit up pretty good with a little support.

Decker and Cody love a show called WildKratts.  It's two brothers that go on explorations to different animal's habitats.  Chris and Martin, the brothers can take on these animals "Super Powers" by activating the disks in their chests.
The boys are doing Shrinky Dinks...You color these little plastic pirate themed pieces and then put them in the Toaster oven to shrink.

Mike bought this camera for his car a couple of months ago.  After discussing, we decided to take it back to Costco. However, I went back and got it for him for Christmas.  Everyone needs a little magic and surprise at Christmas time.  ;)  He couldn't be more excited to start recording his drives.  :)
Here's Mike's gift to me...He wrapped it in his sweatshirt.  ;)  to save on wrapping paper.  ;)
He got me a baby video monitor to put in Kaylie's room.  Now I can watch the boys go into her room when she's taking a nap and wake her up.  ;P
Now Kalylie has some new pajamas with owls on them.
Auntie K gave Cody an R2D2 and C3PO shirt.

I got ambitious and sewed these fun Seahawk aprons.  When I went shopping for the materials, it was Thanksgiving weekend.  I saw this combination of fabric in an abandoned cart. After walking past it a couple of times, I added them to my cart and the idea was formed to make some aprons.  While I was at Joann's...I'm walking around pushing my cart and all of a sudden a woman grabs the green fabric out of my cart and said, "You took my fabric!"  and stormed off.  I tried apologizing...not knowing that it belonged to someone...I wanted to tell her thank you for inspiring me with her choices of fabric, but she didn't stick around for an apology.  She was in the bathroom.....Anyways, I think they turned out great!  I used an apron that Monica, my freshman roommate made as a pattern.

Here's a cute dress for Kaylie from Auntie K.
Decker got a collection of Magic Treehouse books.  He loves them and has read about 27 out of 53 books.  I found someone in the community who was willing to part with them and pass them on to another reader.  He is thrilled!
Here's a box of goodies for Kaylie...rice cereal, mum mums, sippy cup, bowl/cup and a teething toy rattle.  She's almost to her monumental 6 month old mark.

trying out her new sippy cup...

Cody and his Wild Kratts power suit.
Crocs and hoody for Decker from Auntie K..
Cozy robe and slippers from Grandma Wood...
Hoody and crocs for Cody too, from Auntie K...
For breakfast, we made BREAKFAST PIZZA!  Homemade pizza crust, Hollandaise sauce, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and mozzarella....YUM!!
This is a cool gift from dad for the boys.  SNAP CIRCUITS...They can create over 750 experiments...make light switches, lightbulbs turn on, music can be played, a propeller will twirl, there's audio to "Happy birthday"  It's pretty amazing.  The boys will have hours of experimenting to do.
Another sewing project.  I made this little reversible skirt for Kaylie...
She got to try Decker's power suit too.

Then we tried her cereal for the first time.  She did awesome.  Ate all her cereal and loved it!  I have to give her a spoon to hold onto while I feed her, otherwise she is continuously trying to grab the spoon out of my hand...sloshing cereal all over.

"Chris" and "Martin" out playing on the trampoline in their power suits.

Here's Kaylie wearing her new reversible skirt, sitting in a box.  Her teddy bear onesie and Santa Baby stocking were gifts from Gaye Lukrofka.

Here's the dress with Kaylie in it...We took so many pictures of her in it that it was so hard to narrow it down.  She was smiling and just so cute in all of them.

And here's the 66 cents dress...
She's learned to blow zerberts...here she's doing just that...

Kaylie and her stash!
Our Neighbor Susan came over on `Boxing day to bring the kids some winter hats.  This will be nice for our trip to ID next week where there is a lot of snow!  And here's another picture of her in her Christmas Eve dress.
Our neighbor Annie brought over some Pumpkin Pie.  Cody just wanted the whipped cream.
