I went to St George to work a buyback and decided it would be fun bring Cody and have him stay at Grandma and Grandpa's house for the week. Decker stayed in WA since he was still in school. Reminds me of when I must have been about the same age as Cody and I got to go stay at Grandma and Grandpa Lyon's. Jonathan couldn't go because he was in school and I wasn't. I don't remember much about my stay with Grandma, but I was told that I tried getting on her phone and trying to call my mom because I missed her. My mom said she thought that during that visit, was when I was riding in the backseat and the door opened and I fell out of the car. I remember my great aunts getting out of the car and waving their arms because a huge semi was coming down the road. I didn't get very hurt.
Breez had a nativity program at her church and was a narrator in the story, so we went down there to watch her perform. She did wonderful and then we took picturesThen we got to take some silly Christmas themed pictures.
Here we are getting on the airplane to go to Las Vegas.
Then it was time for snacks.
Just me and Cody. ;)
Then Cody felt like it was his place to go up to the cockpit...just like the last time with Decker.
This was a cool motorcycle we saw in the parking garage.
Grandma would let all the birds fly around, one of the favorite times of Cody's.
Then when he was in St George we went swimming in the hotel.
When we went to the St George temple they were having a nativity showcase. We took a couple of pictures of our favorites.
Grandma also took Cody to the thrift store and got him a sword and an Angry Birds backpack, and helped him choose a present for Decker for Christmas. They got him a football. Cody was so thrilled with his backpack and sword. While they waited for me to get off work, grandma took him to the desert to kill dragons with his sword...tons of bushes!! ;) And meanwhile, he picked these beautiful flowers for me.
Before we left he collected acorns with his cousins. What a collection!
And here's part of his rock collection.
And climbing on grandma's rock in the front yard.
Mom came to St George for a couple of nights. Claudia, the text manager at the bookstore suggested mom take Cody to the local children's science museum....they had a fun day there. Cody wouldn't cooperate and look at the camera for pictures. They had the whole museum to themselves...since it was in the middle of a school day.
This cow had water that actually came out when you milked her.
He flew an airplane...
He even got ready to put out some fires.
Will this little guy be a Democrat or a Republican???
He went grocery shopping. Looks like he eats pretty healthy. :)
Cody drew a picture for Santa and then put it in the mailbox to send to Santa.
Cody chose to be Elsa and Grandma was Anna.
Then they swapped places.
He built these buildings out of bricks.
Cody would throw the snowballs at the Snowmen and try to knock them over.
Then he played with the bubbles and Cody said this one "Worked Well.".
And played with a tornado.
Time for a puppet show.
Then they went to the St George temple grounds
Cody had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa Gamble. It was cute to hear that Cody tell me how much he missed Decker and Decker missed Cody. They loved talking to each other on the phone. When we got home, Decker said, "isn't this great mom? We're not even fighting." It was an eye opening week for both of them.
