This year, we signed Decker up for T-Ball. Coach Carl was the coach. He had two main assistants, Mike and our neighbor, Brian. We started training mid March and the season went through June. Culminating with an awards dinner where all the players received a little "gold" medal...I overheard some of the kids talking about their "real gold" medals. So cute. When we got home, we found Decker drawing on his with a marker because "when Cody starts TBall, I don't want my medal to be confused with Cody's medal"
The medal even has Decker's name inscribed on it...that he didn't realize.
When we first started practices, they learned the basics...throwing the ball at the fence, running around the bases, batting a big ball. One of the more memorable practices we went to was on a Saturday morning and it was 36 degrees. Decker was so cold. Poor little red hands, almost deterred him for the rest of the season. There's Coach Carl giving the kids instruction.
Looks like he hit the ball!
And Coach Mike...pulling in to huddle up...
We even played kickball to keep things fun and exciting!
there goes Decker running to first base.
Cody would amuse himself by climbing up the hills near the playground and then sliding down the hill on his rear. Many of the other kids wanted to play up in the hills too.
Love all the dirty bums...
The playgrounds got lots of play time too...This is Mason.
Cody really wanted to play TBall too. Helmet's a little too big. :)
Everyone had a chance to play all the positions...even the outfield.
This is Julianna...ready for the hit...
Aili or Aria is ready too.
Mason says "you're out!"
Nice swing Decker!
Run Decker Run!!
Here goes Vivian or "V" as we liked to call her!

And of course high 5ing all the other teams at the end of the game.
everyone is waving and telling their parents "Thank you"
And of course there were times the kids weren't "into" the game...
Cody drew this dinosaur in the dirt at one of the games.
Julianna
As Coach Carl was handing out the awards, he said Decker was the "most improved" as the season wore on as he became more and more focused, not wanting to run to the playground instead of playing.
