Children's museum and Airplane ride home May 2013

Mike left for Washington on Monday, I stayed in Las Vegas with the boys for a couple more days.  We went to the new Lieds Children Museum.
These opposite vacuum hoses are placed in the colorful pipes to produce and "organ-like" sound blowing air into them.

Cody liked blowing his hair all over.
The boys crawled into and up this spaceship.

Remember the old Lite Brite.  This was a huge one. Cody liked playing with these pegs...I even tried them out by trying to write their names.
We could roll tires down this adjustable track
We rolled trash up this pulley.  As it reached the top it would fall off just like a waterfall.
We could simulate an earthquake at this station.  We first built our buildings and then we turned on the Earthquake.
London bridges falling down.,,,
Here was a painting station.  Once you painted your picture, you could put it into a drying station.
Here comes Decker's picture out of the drying station.
Then, we visited the WATER area.  The museum provides raincoats for the children as they play with all the water toys.  They needed them!

Water guns....

Trying to get all dried off at the other Drying station.  Ahhh, warm air....

Cody and Decker are lifting this car by pulling on the rope.  So STRONG!!

We made a quick stop at McDonalds and then on to the airport, where we said goodbye to grandma.  So sad to leave.

We got to jump to the front of the lines in the airport...such a great service travelling with two young boys.  Decker was such a big help.  He carried his own suitcase and stayed with me and helped keep Cody close.  Such a great helper!
Once we got on the airplane, I put Cody in his seat with an apple and some crackers.  He put on his seatbelt and sat their all ready to go. No complaining.

Decker had his apple and crackers and his drawing book to keep him occupied.  We ended up playing musical chairs with another passenger.  In the end we had all three of us on one side of the aisle together.
When we boarded the airplane, the pilots invited us to visit the cockpit.  So after we were all settled, we swam upstream  to get back to the cockpit.  The pilots were so nice!  They let Decker sit in the pilot's seat and pull the steering wheel, push some buttons, they even had Decker welcome passengers over the intercom onto the flight.  "We'd like to welcome you aboard to Alaska Airlines flight 62."  He did awesome!!

Then Cody got a turn!  What a treat!  I can't say how great these pilots were Decker and Cody!
