It was a great day to go to Remlinger Farms. No rain, a little sun and lots of pumkins. In years past, we've gone usually on the last day of the month and have found lots of rotting pumpkins and lots of brown...we saw lots of green plants and beautiful pumkins this year. We picked out 2 great ones...one to carve and one to cook our soup in...Love the holidays....this marks the beginning of the "holiday months."

September 10, 2011; 11 months old
Here's a picture of Cody taken on August 10th. It will be his 10 month picture since I didn't get one with the monkey this month. We were in Vegas for Michelle's wedding and Mario and Tony Lozano were daring enough to watch all of the cousins while we were at the wedding. They had 7 children all under the age of 4 years old! Cody took to Mario and fell asleep in his arms before we left.
11 month pictures with Monkey:

He still likes to wake up during the night. He goes to bed about 8:00...he has stopped waking up at 11:00--so that's a plus, but then he still wakes up between 2 and 3:00 a.m. and then again between 5 or 6 a.m., then going back to sleep till about 8:30 or 9:00 in the morning. He takes 2 naps each day, each worth 1 1/2 - 2 hours a piece. He is a lighter sleeper than Decker was.
He has 8 teeth now. Four on top and four on the bottom.. He eats lots of table foods, but he loves cottage cheese, yogurt. all sorts of fruit, peaches, mango, pears, kiwis and bananas. He loved spaghetti, chicken and rice casserole, and zucchini and tomatoes from our garden.
Cody still loves to stand--he's been doing this for a couple of months now --he has the biggest smile like he's doing something no one else can do. He takes 2 -3 steps at a time and seems to walk better with toys in his hands than not....I would think they would throw off his balance, but he does just fine. He hasn't full on taken to walking yet, but I expect that to come pretty soon.
He has learned to climb the stairs like a pro and is coming right along on going down them. He knows he's supposed to put feet first going down the stairs, beds & couches. It's been fun watching him figure that one out as he inches his legs around to go first. He has tumbled down the stairs once in the early stages, which was scary, but he wasn't hurt.
He hates having to sit still ...so when diaper changes come around, he just wiggles and wiggles to get away. We have to gang up on him...2 against one. :)
He loves to bounce to the music when we play it and lifts his little legs up in front of him like a little soldier.
He has a little temper and gets very mad when Decker takes a toy away or when I tell him he can't play in the fireplace or with my vase of flowers.
He loves to play in the hall closet where we keep the broom and vaccum, some of his favorite toys. Decker likes to go in there with him and close the sliding doors. He loves to play in Decker's room and bounce/jump on his bed. He loves to place objects in and out of containers. One day I watched him take puzzle pieces one at a time, very methodically and placing them on the stair, sliding them through the safety gate.
He loves to clap his hands, and wave and he says Hi. He loves it when we play music to sing to while we eat.

When Decker and Cody are in their carseats together, they make each other laugh, feeding off of each other getting louder and louder. It is really cute how they play--though sometimes we ask if they can play quiet games. :) Cody adores his older brother. He is constantly watching him. Cody observes everything around him. He watches daddy until Mike notices him looking and then Mike does crazy faces for him that makes him crack up. He loves to laugh. He is a very playful, happy baby.
His hair is a beautiful auburn-- he gets compliments all the time. It looks like it is growing in more light brown in the back now. We'll have to see if it stays. He's had 2 haircuts to get the hair out of his eyes.
This is such a fun stage. We are having a blast with our two boys, We don't want each stage to end, but it's so fun progressing on to the next stage at the same time.
I love this little guy. He likes to say mamamamamama and mumummum...so soon, I'll be hearing mama. :) He loves to swim and seems to be a natural...kicking feet and flapping his arms at the same time.
He loves the bathtub and if he can only get into the bathroom, he will try to climb in. It's fun to watch him try to get his little legs over the side--he's accomplished this twice. One of his favorite toys is a water bottle. Must be the crackling sound it makes as he squeezes it.

Camping Memorial Day Weekend 2011
It's that time of year again. Time to bring out the camper trailer and head to Carnation. Our home away from home. Unlike last year, we had perfect weather...no rain, except at night when we were nice and cozy in our trailer. We started out with our foil dinners...YUM!
Of course we had to roast hot dogs, a family favorite.
This little pack n play kept Cody safe, while we were busy maintaining and putting up our campsite.
Just waiting for dinner to be done...
Decker loves his apples...
This is the cool suspension bridge at the park. Decker collected some rocks to throw off the bridge into the river. This became his favorite activity.
I think Cody's eating a chip or pancake...
Grandma Wood came to hang out in the evenings...Gotta get some Cody and Decker time. :) And of course, a WELL cooked Hot Dog.

Hanging out at the campfire...
Something's making him smile...I love his little bottom teeth...
We decided to get a little wet. After watching Dad take off his shoes, Decker wants to follow in his bare footsteps...

We found this snail and Decker decided to collect some flower food for it. The snail just hurried on home though....no time to eat...
It was a great 3 nights and 3 days away...can't wait till our next camping trip...Thanks Mike for all you do to make our camping comfortable and fun!
